me Confius

i thought i know my skin type. but i'm still clueless. some said that i'm normal to dr type. some said normal to oily. which one is which? if i'm not sure about my skin type, how am i suppose to know what product to use. i don't really follow what the SA recommended me because usually they want to sell stuff. i just bought what are best for my skin at that moment.

oh, yes. my skin problems change monthly. seriously. huhu. weird but true ;p

today during lunch time, i went to klcc to have my free consultation with CLINIQUE. oh, yeah. they are doing that untul 6 oct. go there and get your free consultation. don't worry. they won't force you to buy anything. they will consult u and you really should ask anything regarding your skin. i were there like an hour. asking her question after question. huhuhu..

she also gave me a custom-fit eye cream 5ml for free!! yeay! i got free consultation plus an eye cream. lucky me right ;p

later that evening, after working hour, i headed to isetan to ask around the beauty consultant there. the first pit stop was at the Clarins counter because i'm using that product range for 2 weeks now. don't like that beauty consultant because she doesn't really know much. where is the malay lady before who consult me? hhmmm...

my next and last stop was at kiehl's. after asking and asking, that beauty consultant gave me a free sample for my clogged and open pores. already apply it on my face and if i'm satisfied with it, probably i'm going to buy it. maybe? hehehe...

and yes, i have clogged pores on my cheeck, forehead and my chin. it's CLOGGED! so buruk okeyy!!! not to mention the open ones. aiyaaa...

after all of those free consultations that i went, i conclude that my skin type is dry-normal-oily. my dry skin is due to dehydration. not that severe though but need to be treated especially on my nose area. got this flaky-flaky thing. the oily part of my skin i can tolerate with because i it really doesn't bother me at all. sebab bile amik gambar, muke aku tak nmpk berkilat. hehe. ;p

fuh, sepatutnya aku belajar what i've learn today at work? ni belajar pasal type of skin lak. hahaha...

No Veil = Freedom ?

it's 12:55AM and i just finished reading Marie Claire September issue Malaysia Edition. Found 1 article that offended me. i'm hard to get offended. when i do, it mean that were too much.

since this year, i stop buying any fashion mag because i got not much time to read it. so this is the 1st mag i bought this year and it's already September. wow! i amaze myself here. huhu.. ;p

well, back to my story. i bought it mainly because one of the article attract me which was ' Generation Rania - Meet Jordan's modernistas'. Queen Rania is really one of my idol. I even dream of having a daughter with her name so my daughter will imitate her. (woh! dream on eleena. still too far ahead of u. ;p )

and THAT article was like condemning women(not directly tho) wearing veil. Seriously. it said i quoted

"The Rania Generation, as someone once called them, are Jordanian women in their 20s and 30s. They live in the big cities and don't wear veils. They visit cafes and shop in giant malls. and they do all they can to be like their queen, imitating her dress sense, hair and make-up, and the sophistication that has put her on the global A-list."

"Naila, just 17, is about to mount a horse and wouldn't dream of wearing a veil. 3 times a week, she goes with her father to the stables at the Royal Racing Club in Amman, where she trains for a couple of hours. She is lively, has painted nails and talk confidently."

"But that is how Jordan is: women are emancipated and free to live without the veil, just like in the West, but they must work hard from early morning until late evening in order to support their families"

Why do they have to mention 'don't wear veils'. it as if wearing one discriminating the women. Come On! Get educated first before you write it. Oh, even tho the mag is Malaysia edition but that article was written by an European writer.

after reading that article, i was like "what a waste of my time reading this. waste my money too!!!"

I'm a Muslim lady in my 20s who has a degree in engineering field and working in a engineering consultant firm. and hey, I do wear veil and i'm proud of it. does that mean i'm not yet emancipated and have my own freedom?
